About Jeff Tessler
Jeff Tessler has had a life-long interest in sports and movement-based performance arts. As a youth Jeff played football. In college he majored in modern dance. He is an amateur jazz drummer and singer, and studies and teaches T'ai Chi.
Jeff encountered Alexander Technique during his modern dance training, and began taking Alexander lessons regularly after an injury. Jeff found the Alexander Technique to be so [ full of insights about the nature of human movement? ] that he chose it for his career.
Jeff Tessler certified as an Alexander Technique Teacher in 1981 after completing an intensive three-year teacher training course. Since then, he has maintained private teaching practices regionally and nationally. Some of his other influences include ongoing training in Zen and Taiji (tai-chi). His present interests include passions for gardening and writing.
